Smallville At San Diego!

The "surprise guests" at the Smallville San Diego Comic-Con International panel were Allison Mack (Chloe) and Sam Jones III (Pete). Executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, as well as writers Jeph Loeb and Mark Verheiden, were all there
Sam Jones III was there, there was a lot more clamoring for "More Pete!" Miles Millar tells us that we may see Pete's family this year. Allison Mack is hopeful for more screen time in the third season, She described it as Season 1 being the setup, with Clark and Lex, Season 2 being focused on the second tier, being Lana and the parents, and then hopefully Season 3 would feature the third tier of Chloe, Pete, and company. Here's hoping! We may see Lois Lane at some point, but not in the coming season. When asked if Clark will fly this season, Al Gough reiterated "no flying!" after which Allison quipped "No flights, no tights!" Regarding Bruce Wayne appearing on the show, Gough said they'd love for it to happen, but ultimately it's up to folks like Paul Levitz at DC Comics. The producers say that this voice speaking to Clark is not Zod!. Allison promised "very interesting things" will come with the
Chloe/Lione storyline, but they won't be without consequences. Regarding rumors of a Chloe death, Allison "hopes not" for that, because she likes her job.
Another appearance by Christopher Reeve as Dr. Swann is dependent on scheduling, as they would have to be shooting in New York. Part of the "deal" regarding Smallville versus a Superman movie is that TPTB can't introduce more Kryptonians. Which may be why Jor-El is seen but not heard. Allison said she'd be open to a "Chloe Chronicles" sequel. Someone asked why Pete never gets any play, to which one of the producers quipped. "Pete gets no action - on screen." Season 5 might follow the characters to college. So far that is it here in San "D" but more to come. from
