Lana and Whitney are having issues. Lana feels Whitney isn't confiding in her. Clark offers to help Lana with her blood drive. At the Luthor mansion, we see Amy's extreme jealousy over Lex Luthor's girlfriend Victoria. At the farm, Jonathan and Martha remind Clark he can't give blood for Lana's blood drive, since needles have a hard time with Clark's tough skin. Clark visits Lex at the mansion. Lex Luthor realizes he has lost a watch his mother gave him before she died. Luthor doesn't realize Amy has stolen it. While Lex looks for his watch, Victoria is sneaking into his laptop trying to steal some secrets from Luthor Corp. Suddenly, upstairs, there are loud noises and weird lights coming from one of the bedrooms. Clark and Lex go into investigate only to find floating feathers from torn pillows, and the word "leave" painted everywhere. Could it be Amy giving Victoria a message?
Lionel Luthor comes to visit his son to fuss about Victoria's presence in the mansion. He also reminds Lex that Smallville is his test and he is failing in his father's eyes. He also believes Lex is going to sell out Luthor Corp to Victoria's father who has been after Luthor Corp. At Lana's, Clark tries to move closer to Lana almost getting a kiss until Lana's Aunt pops in and kills the mood. Clark asks Lana over to see the sunset later. At school, Clark sees Whitney with some medicine but Whitney doesn't explain who or what the medicine is for. Later that night, Victoria is attacked by an invisible source while taking a bath . Clark hears the noise and runs upstairs to the bathroom. He pulls Victoria out of the bathtub only to get knocked down himself by the invisible attacker. Clark sees the skeleton of a human with his x-ray vision as the attacker gets cut on a broken mirror running out the door. Chloe checks out the broken mirror later, and finds some green material that causes her fingers to go invisible. With Chloe on the case, Clark confronts Whitney about the medicine in his bag. Whitney explains that the medicine is for his father and that he hasn't told Lana yet that his father is sick. Lex and Clark visit Amy's mother and find out that Amy has stolen his watch and dedicated a shrine of sorts to her love for Lex Luthor. Lex asks that they leave the mansion, but offers to pay for any treatment that Amy might need. Watching the sunset with Lana, Clark misses his chance with Lana again thinking about Whitney and his sick father. Not wanting to take advantage of the situation, Clark explains that Whitney needs Lana more than ever without explaining why. Confused as to Clark's intentions, Lana leaves. I guess situations like this are why Superman gets the nickname the overgrown boy scout in later years.
As soon as Amy and her mother leave, Lex Luthor is knocked down by the invisible attacker. Meanwhile Chloe brings Clark a report on the blood found in the bathroom. It turns out that Amy's brother has the same blood type. Clark rushes to the Luthor mansion, where Lex is in big trouble. Jeff, Amy's brother, is there but invisible. He explains to Clark Kent that he had found a weird green rose that enabled him to become as invisible in real life as he was to others around him. Jeff attacks Clark with a medieval mace that explodes upon contact with Clark's face. Jeff tries to choke Clark but Clark throws him down onto some paint buckets, revealing his form. Fortunately Lex was out of it the whole time so he didn't see Clark use some of his powers.
Clark goes home and under the moonlight views Whitney
and Lana reconciling through his telescope.
