Lex Luthor walks in the bank and demands to withdraw all of his money. His signature doesn't match the one on record. So bank doesn't give him the money...till he pulls out a gun. Has Lex turned evil already?

Lex runs out of the bank and into Clark and somehow pushes him straight through a store window. Clark suddenly sees his skeleton. This being the first time Clark has ever known about his x-ray vision he understandably is a little freaked.

The scene switches to the home of the young teenager Tina, who admits to her mom she was the one who stole the money from the bank. Apparently she has the ability to shape shift to anyone she wants. An argument starts between her and her mother. Her mother falls down the stairs to her death, but Tina, panicky at first, does not report it to the authorities.

Luckily Lex Luthor was in Metropolis with witnesses. Lex comes to the Kent farm to apologize for his duplicate (Tina) throwing Clark through a window. Lex quote to Clark: "I am not a criminal mastermind".

At gym class Clark and Pete Ross are climbing the ropes when Clark's x-ray vision kicks in again. Clark sees Pete's skeletal structure which causes him to fall several feet to the floor. Clark gets up and looks toward the girl's locker room seeing Lana, which explains the huge smile.

Tina starts showing an unhealthy obsession with Lana Lang's life. She starts pushing for Lana and her to be roomies. To cover up her mother's death Tina takes over at the antique store in the shape of her mother.

Meanwhile Jonathan and Martha Kent coach Clark on how to use his x-ray vision, telling him to focus his eyes just like any other muscle.

Lex Luthor gets threatened by a journalist with a news story of his past, especially his time at Club Zero. The story will get printed if Lex doesn't supply some cash.

At school Clark uses his x-ray vision to find Tina's stolen bank loot, as Tina's obsession with Lana grows.

Back at the Luthor mansion the journalist comes for his money , but Lex has other plans. Lex threatens to make him disappear, not murder, just  make any record of his existence completely disappear, credit cards, social security number everything. In return for not destroying his life, the journalist agrees to help Lex find out how he didn't die in the car crash that Clark saved him from in the first episode.

Clark discovers Tina's dead mom at the antique store with his new x-ray vision. Lana, while visiting her parent's grave gets a visit from Tina morphed into Whitney. Tina steals Lana's kryptonite necklace and puts Lana into a tomb. Clark shows up in time to save Lana after a difficult fight with Tina and the stolen kryptonite.
