Superboy's girlfriend Lana Lang debuted in Superboy #10. 
Unlike Smallville's Lana Lang, her parents never died in Earth-One continuity (all issues before Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline and the 1986 John Byrne Superman revamp).

 Lana Lang and her parents appeared together as recently as the Superman story in late 1984's ACTION COMICS #565. Lana's mom made a number of appearances over the years, beginning with Lana's own debut in SUPERBOY #10 and continuing in issues #s 25, 58, 63-64, 90, 124, 137, 150-151, 164, 205, ADVENTURE COMICS #s 167, 170, 174, 236, 279, 282, 285, 297, 307, 312, 369, LOIS LANE #99, NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERBOY #s 11, 19, 26 and SUPERMAN #s 78 & 375. 

In current DC Comics history after Byrne's revamp, Lana's parents Thomas and Carol Lang were killed by alien Manhunters on the day that Clark's rocket arrived on Earth. The official cause of death was ruled a car accident in WORLD OF SMALLVILLE #3 1988. On Smallville the tv series Lana's mom, on the TV show, was named Laura. Lana's mom and dad were killed by the Kryptonian meteor shower that hit the town of Smallville the day Clark landed on Earth.

There was also never any mention of either of Lana's parents ever being unfaithful to one another as Lana found out on Smallville the series.

In current DC history Lana eventually marries Pete Ross and has a baby boy. Of course the show Smallville doesn't stick completely to the comic books so their is always still a chance that Clark and Lana might get together on the show. Very doubtful since Lois Lane has been showing up in Smallville, but you never know.
